If you haven't seen the movie yet, don't play-all the film's plot points are revealed. What the Phantom Menace adventure game does for true fans is re-create the movie experience, making it completely interactive. If you hate Star Wars, however, you may want to stop reading now. And if you're someone who can't find anything else of interest in the action/adventure genre on the PlayStation, you'll feel the Force. If you're a fan of Star Wars, it was well worth the wait. You've seen the movie, lived through the hype, and probably had just about enough of Star Wars this summer-but you haven't played the adventure game for the PlayStation based on Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. After all, you know what happens at the end. If you battle on, it follows the movie in a satisfactory manner, but it inconveniences you so often that you might give up halfway through. Throw in some overly sensitive controls that make the 'platform game' bits unnecessarily challenging and you have something akin to Jar-Jar on the annoy-o-meter. It makes sense, but the way the game guides you.it feels very clumsy. You know you have to find Anakin in Mos Espa, but if you haven't had the right chat with the right person, he doesn't appear. Speaking of those sequences, the fact that key gameplay points are fixed to conversation set-pieces is irritating too. You can never see very far in front of you, and there is nothing on screen to give you any sense of direction.something that's especially annoying in the less action-oriented 'adventure' sequences. First, there's the sort of top-down view, something that makes you feel like you're wandering around looking at your feet all the time. Sure, The Phantom Menace has some gorgeous graphics, awesome sound.and even a copy of the music video included on the disc (if a little grainy), but it suffers from numerous tiny niggles that ruin it. If anyone has any other suggestions, I am willing to try.It's always particularly disappointing when a Star Wars game fails to meet the standards that you think it should.

Newer computers appear to render this game useless or some patch needs to be created.
So I have all the hardware but a screen of 120hz 3ms. My laptop has a refresh of 120hz, Nvidia 1060, with integrated graphics Intel UHD 630, 16 GB Ram, I7-8750 processor, windows 10. Upon further reading of forums one common factor people mention is the refresh rate of the screen/monitor. Tried start with Windows XP/Vista/7 compatibility- It did nothing same error. Tried lowering screen resolution - uselessį. Tried modifying the config inf file to 60 FPS but it did nothing.Į.

SpecialK Mod - Upon installation and injecting into game. RivaTuner Statistics Server - Upon setting FPS to 60 or tinkering with any settings it still does nothing.ĭ. The intel control panel allows for custom resolution but when trying to create it, another error pops up of "The custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity". Custom Resolution Utility - NVidia Control Panel does not list custom resolution with an integrated graphics card such as Intel. So starting another thread and for all those that encounter please respond to this thread to show how many it is affecting.Ī. I have been browsing the forums for this problem but nothing is working.
